How Telemetry does and does not use AI tools, and how AI crawlers may use our data.
In our own work
[Set your policy. For example:] Editors may use AI tools for research, first drafts and code. Every briefing is checked against its sources and approved by a named human editor, who is responsible for it. We do not publish AI-generated quotes or statistics. Data pages are computed by code from public data, not written by a language model.
The sample briefings on this site were drafted with AI assistance and are marked for editorial verification before launch.
AI crawlers and answer engines
Telemetry admits search and AI crawlers in robots.txt and publishes llms.txt, llms-full.txt and JSON endpoints so that answer engines can quote current figures accurately. If you quote a figure, please include the catalog version it was computed from.
